WAVES!

I wish I had a camera on me last night!

We live about 15 minutes from a lake and in the afternoon Darren suggested that I text everyone and see if they want to do a picnic/go swimming instead of wings. Everyone was all up for it! We picked up a mega pack from KFC and headed out to the lake.

The kayak was being a pest on not staying strapped nicely to the truck. Darren and I had to stop three times to fix it.

We got out to the lake and BOOM the wind started! We all crowded into the gazebo and ate sitting on the floor, listening to the gushing wind. We enjoyed ourselves even though we had to scream to talk to each other. After we ate we turned to look at the water and I have never seen waves that tall on the lake. I'm guessing at least 5ft tall. You could surf on them! The shore was flooding and creeping further and further inland. The sea gulls were seeing who can fly the further against the wind (funniest thing to watch).

So we didn't end up swimming or kayaking :) There was sadness all the way around. Freak windstorms out of no where, who would have thunk it.

Goals for today:
1) water
2) jog again tonight and maybe another 10 min hula hooping
3) go to Walmart and pick up some treats for tomorrow
4) go to bed early (it's going to be a late night tomorrow)
