Cabbage who knew!

So it's been a pretty blah week so far, I think a lot has to do with the weather. Dreary but at least it's not snowing.

Last night I finished filling the holes and cracks in the walls. Tonight I'm going to sand and prep it for primer. Then finally we'll get the paint on the walls!! I'm soo excited! We are going to keep the trim the original wood color and paint the ceiling and window trims white, and the walls a blue.I can't wait to find a new light fixture for that room. Good bye gold!

It's been a roller coaster this last week for Darren. He was informed of an opportunity and has been in the process of considering it. We've been praying about it. I think he has pretty much decided what he is going to do. Hopefully the stress in the house will decrease then. I told him that whatever he decides I am there right by his side.

I made a wonderful cabbage/apple salad last night. Mmmm lunch is going to be so good today. I can't believe that I have cabbage in my fridge and am using it in my cooking. I must be growing up!

Goals for today:
1) 30 minute jog
2) Keep carbs to min (I thought I had a yummy homemade bun at home but looks like Darren took both of them to work today)
3) Sand walls
4) Prep Roast for slow cooker

Don't knock the weather. If it didn't change once in a while, nine out of ten people couldn't start a conversation.

  1. Can I ask what opportunity Darren has been offered?
