In need of some boot kicking

Motivation!

I have to start making an effort to get some exercise into my day. I have good intentions of doing that but time seems to run out.

Excuses, excuses..... I know.....

How can you go home after work, feeling drained mentally and physically want to exercise? In the last week I have had naps after after work, which is very unlike me.

We have been going for a walk the last two nights and that has helped. First by talking about frustrations, and actually moving!

Breakfast: Grapes, raspberries, strawberries, yogurt, and bran cereal.(not mixed together as some might do to make a parfait), cup of black coffee
Lunch: Tuna Melt, apple with peanut butter
Supper: Spaghetti, left over sauce from last night, spinach salad

(By the way too much baby talk milling around, making me crazy!!)

  1. Buy yourself gold stars and put them on the calendar every time you have 30 minutes of intentional excercise. You wouldn't believe how motivating (and smile inducing) it is.

I go with workout in the morning so it doesn't matter how you feel when you get home from school and work. Or just work if you've got it easy :P

I like the star idea, who doesn't like getting stars!

I think the idea of mornings, but it is soooo hard to get out of bed. I know, I know suck it up princess ;)

  4. I hear ya Jenny. I come home from work and I just want to sit and enjoy my evening. Plus the couch is a lot closer than the gym.

However I found what motivated me the most was joining a class of some kind. That way even if you are lacking motivation, you are more likely to go because you will feel guilty that you are wasting money if you don't go. Plus it gets you out meeting people. It's a win-win.
