Silly retail holiday

I don't really have too much on my mind right now. I'm a little tired from waking up a couple of times last night. There was one dream that had to do with mice scurrying around my feet and jumping on me. Brrrrrr.... not a great feeling to wake up too.

I've been in a pretty cheery mood lately. Darren gets a little confused when I get get a little silly. (apparently it doesn't happen a lot).

Valentine's Day: what a bunch of crap. I can't believe how many people spend uber amounts of money on cheezy, cheap, overpriced gifts. My feelings are if you have a special someone in your life, why wait for a retail holiday to show them you love them. Why not show them you love through out the year by doing little things for them, that might not cost you as much money. Why are flowers double or triple in price during that week and don't last as long? Jewellery ads on TV are making me CRAZY! They are advertising pendants for the the one you love, but why would someone want this piece of jewellery that everyone else would be getting? That doesn't seem thoughtful and special to me.... but who am I to judge.

  1. I COMPLETELY agree with you about Valentine's Day. I have always hated it, and also don't think that it's fair to those that don't have someone to celebrate with. I also think that if you do have a special someone in your life everyday is a good day to show them that you love them. YAY to you for writing here exactly how I feel too. :)

P.S. You always seem to get silly with me! ;)
